Chem-Etch System™

A Standardized System for Steel and Aluminum Tools

A well-defined, standardized work system with quality control at every stage of the photochemical etching of steel and aluminum tools. We can etch any pattern you need, deliver on average within 12 working days and stay more cost-effective than large international companies. All procedures lead to the same result, so we can always meet the customer's expectations.

The Chem-Etch Process

In this process, patterns are applied to a steel or aluminum tool, which is then used to produce the end product. We obtain a structured pattern on the tool that is etched in negative; these tools are then sprayed, blown, or thermoformed with the desired products or semi-finished products. Patterns are optional: the appearance of leather, wood, dots, citrus peel, geometric patterns, or a combination of different patterns. Such patterns improve the appearance of the product as well as its usefulness, since mechanical damage is less visible, adhesion is better, and deformation is easier where required.

Key Features of Our Process

Why Choose Chem-Etch?

Careful Tool Preparation

The result depends on preparation. Any burr left over from turning, milling, drilling, or grinding must be removed, the tool must be cleaned if it has been used before, and its surface must not be chrome-plated.

Quality Control at Every Stage

Every procedure follows our standardized Chem-Etch System, with quality checks at each stage of production, so the result is always consistent and dependable.

Unmatched Precision

Advantages of Chem-Etch

Patterns are applied by hand and etched into the tool, so they follow curved and uneven surfaces where mechanical texturing cannot reach. The material’s mechanical properties stay unchanged, the pattern joint is never visible on the finished product, and every step follows our standardized, quality-controlled Chem-Etch System.
